TERRIFIC TUESDAY!!

Oh. My. Gosh. I have so many things to talk about tonight.


Alright the big news first...

$$$$ I GOT A RAISE!!!!!! $$$$


I've been at my current job for almost 5 years and this is the first raise I've gotten. It was WELL overdue. I took my accredidation test last year and passed it and will be taking another test this year to further my qualifications. So, its about bloody time! Unfortunately its not quite as much as I had hoped for, but hell, I"ll take it! I'm definitely not complaining!


So because of this, I've been able to cross one of my 2010 goals off my list! Without even trying! Wahoo!


Alright, so now that I've told you that, I realize that maybe I don't have that much to talk about...


Despite still having remnants (sp?) of my stupid headache from yesterday, I still got up this morning and ran 4 miles on my dreadmill at home. I'm trying to get used to doing that because once I start my training, I'm going to have to do my Tuesday morning tempo/speed runs at home because I won't have enough time to go to the gym. Going to the gym in the evenings is TOTALLY out of the question.


For one thing, its absolutely packed. Way worse than its ever been for the first of the year because they're doing some "I Lost It At The Gym" thing where non-members can pay for a mini-membership and participate as well. Plus, I know once the evening rolled around, I wouldn't be up for running. Third, my tempo/speed runs (depending on the week) are on Tuesdays and I now have volleyball on Tuesday nights. So that just won't work. Oh well.


So where was I?


Oh yeah. 4 miler


I clocked in around 45 minutes for my run. I was planning to take it nice and easy and just do 12 minute miles but I can never do that - I always have to finish strong. Plus, I got up a little late and wanted/needed to be done.


Yesterday I did my Push workout. Here's how I did:


2 sets of 12


1. Superset
a. Dumbell Bench Press (15/20) 20lbs/20lbs
b. Modified Push-ups (12/12) 12reps/12reps (second set was rough!)


2. Superset
a. Dumbell Shoulder Press (12/12) 15/15
b. Tricep Extensions (12/15) 20/20


3. Superset
a. Max rep bench dips 25
b. Max rep bench push-ups 6 (i suck at pushups)


The weight/reps in parenthases (again, sp?) is what I did last week. I didn't do superset 3 last week, so obviously that's why I don't have anything there.


Its nice to see that I'm actually improving! Maybe soon I'll be able to ((gulp)) go into the meathead room and acutally do the barbell bench press and shoulder press! Eek! Thank God there's hardly anybody there in the mornings!


Oh and I also did a 2 mile run. My time was 21:52. Tomorrow, I'm not sure what I'm going to do for cardio, since its legs. I'm thinking about running 4.5 miles on Thursday to get myself ready for my 5-miler I have planned before my weigh in at weight watchers Saturday morning. Sooo, I don't want to wear my legs out too bad. We'll see.


Maybe I'll do the stairstepper?? Hmm there's an idea - haven't done that in a while!!


Who knows!


Well, Jason just called to let me know that he's almost home from his Union meeting and I'm still parched from volleyball so I'm gonna skee-daddle!

Ugh. I hate how this thing adds in super huge lines if you go in and edit it...

Mine adds lines like that too, I hate it. Just ignore it. No big deal.

Nice job on the raise! Sounds you like you earned it and deserve it!

Also, your workouts are making me so jealous. I can't wait to have some sort of routine back so I can have awesome workouts like you. You're insipring me!
