I AM SO GLAD ITS FRIDAY!
Well, I finally did it. I gave in and create a Facebook account. And now...
I am addicted.
As if I didn't already have a hard enough time staying focused at work, I have just made it worse. Way to go, Lace. Good one.
Although the little voice inside my head did everything in its power to talk me out of working out this morning and crawling back into bed, I did not give in. I went to the gym....
STRENGTH
Pull
2 sets of 4 reps
90% of 1RM (Heavy!!)
80 seconds rest between sets, full recovery between superset 1 and 2
Superset 1
-Narrow grip lat pull down 60lbs/75lbs
-Dumbbell bent over row 20/30
Superset 2
-Regular Grip Pull Up (assisted - weigh represents how much is "subtracted" from my actual weight) 50/50
-Wide grip seated Cable Row 65/70
CARDIO
Ran 2 miles. It sucked. I am so out of shape. I think my time was somewhere in the neighborhood of 22 minutes. Blech. At least I ran though - I always feel better after I get a run in.
How in the world am I going to do my first long run of 6 miles in 4 weeks! Ack! On the up side, though, I've been thinking that the first long run was in the area of 8 miles, so that's good news! Phew! Who knew I'd be relieved to run 6 miles! haha
Going to sleep in tomorrow and then head to the gym whenever I roll out of bed (hopefully it won't be too late) and do Core and maybe try that 4 miler that I missed last week due to my stupid knee. I'd just like to be able to log the miles so I'm going to take it slow and steady - like we're talking 12:00 minute miles here.
If - correction: WHEN I make it to the gym tomorrow that will mean that I will have successfully made it to the gym every day I had planned for this past week. Do you realize how big of a deal that is?!?! Now I'm even more pumped to go. Yeah! Go me! (wow, I'm really starting to lose my mind, huh?)
I picked up the ingredients to make my first ever Green Monster. I will let y'all know as soon as I do and what the verdict is.

Hope you enjoy your first Green Monster Smoothie. Make sure it's blended well and COLD.
Good job on the gym. I know what you mean about the long runs. It's just so hard to stay motivated to do them. At least half the mileage is around 30 minutes and you can kind of plan that... but then you add double that and think omg, I have to run for HOW LONG. ha!
I have my weight workout still to do today... I actually don't mind it compared to that ol' running business. Probably because I'm indoors.
