SOO Glad I already went to the gym!

So its not even 1:00pm and I'm already back from my field review for work. The school was an hour away, too! Yah-hoo!

And, since I followed through and went to the gym this morning, (its was rough though, I almost didn't make it...) I'm free to do whatever I want for the rest of the day until Jason gets home from work. Yippee!! I'll probably finish the book I started yesterday. I can't put it down!

We're going to go visit our Goddaughters tonight and give them their Christmas gifts. I always love seeing the girls! Yay!

I did a "Legs" workout like the Fitquest schedule called for but I kinda improvised and did my own thing. Here's what I did:
STRENGTH
Legs
3 sets of 15/12/10
Wall squats with Exercise ball - 15 lbs all sets
Forward lunges with dumbell - 8 lbs all sets
Side lunges with dumbell - 8 lbs all sets
Split squats - 8 lbs all sets

I kinda threw the side lunges in there to try to work my inner/outer thighs but I'm not sure if I did them right or that they worked the right areas. Oh well. I need to find some good inner/outer thigh moves. Any suggestions?

For my CARDIO I did the same bike routine I did a few days ago that was 30 seconds @ 100% followed by 90 seconds @ 65% repeated 6 times. I tried to maintain a level 10 but by the 4th and 5th rounds I was struggling so I had to go down a couple notches but I bumped it back up to 10 for the last round. I at least try to always finish strong.

By the end my legs were jello so I think it was a pretty good workout. Tomorrow is a rest day and Friday the gym is closed. I signed up for the 8:15am spinning class this Saturday to do before my pull workout.  Sunday will be Core and then Monday I'll be back to my normal workout/work/eating/life schedule. Yay, I like when things get back to normal. I'm definitely a creature of habit...

I worked on refining our budget yesterday so I'll probably use tomorrow to post about our bugetary goals and what not. I need to call tomorrow and find out what our payoffs are on the cars and my student loan.

The only thing that confuses me is this: they give you a payoff amount but what about interest? I know that's the amount you owe if you pay it off today but if you don't, there's interest tacked on there every month, right? How do you determine what you pay off is if you're going to pay it off early but not right away? I have an estimate of when we'll pay our small loan to my dad off but for the cars and my school loan I'm not sure what to do? Am I making any sense? Help!

Well, I'm off to read my book. Tomorrow I plan on organizing the computer room that is also where the dog & chinchilla reside. It's also the room that has the closet that I use so it tends to get a bit messy and I'd like to make it function a little more efficiently and get rid of some clutter.

Until next time...

What book are you reading? I got Tori Spelling's 1st book and the 4th Twilight book for Xmas, I'm sort of reading them both at the same time!

As for the "payoff"- if you send them a check today, let's say it takes 3-4 days to get there. Ask them for the payoff amount "as of 1/4/2010" for example. Then send them that amount (they will calculate the interest). It may not be exactly but if it's only off by 1 day, it's usually so small they'll write it off or if you overpay, it's probably less than $1.

nice workout!

Well, I was reading the book co-authored by Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer titled "Agnes and the Hitman" buuuut, I finished it last night.

LOVED IT!

Of course, I'm a huge fan of Jennifer Crusie and usually struggle to put down anything I'm reading by her.

BTW, I breezed through Tori's first book as well. I just love her! She seems so down to earth. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Can't wait to read her second one!! Also can't wait for her show to start up again in the spring! I'll be DVR-ing it!

I'm alive! I swear!

Yes, I'm here! I swear I'm here! I've had about a kazillion things going on and haven't had the time to blog. I've k...
