Happy Hump Day my little bloggies!
Well kids, by some miracle of God, I was able to get myself out of bed AGAIN this morning and head to the gym. It's definitely nice to get my workout in in the mornings because I don't have all day to talk myself out of them and by the time I fully wake up, the workout is almost over and its time to hit the showers! Yay!
So this mornings workout went something like this:
Muscle Groups Worked: Back, Biceps, Hamstrings, Glutes, Obliques
5 Minute warm-up on Elliptical
Circuit 1 (all circuits 3 sets of 15 reps)
Wide Grip Lat Pull Downs - 3 sets @ 45 lbs
Back Extensions 12/0/0
Circuit 2
Seated Row - 45/30/40 (the weights are all over the place because I still wasn't awake at this time)
Static Lunges
Circuit 3
Back Extensions (no weights, I think I may have hurt my back with the first set I did with 12 lbs... not cool)
Hamstring Curls 70/80/90
Circuit 4
DB Curls - all @ 7.5 lbs (each arm)
Bicycle Crunches
Circuit 5
Concentration Curls - 2 sets of 15 @ 7.5 lbs/1 set of 10 @ 12.5 lbs (each arm)
Russian Twists w/ 4lb medicine ball
Cardio - 10 minutes on Upright Stationary Bike at level 6 - completed 3.0 miles & and additional 1/2 mile cool down.
All in all, a pretty good workout. I think I need to work on my form with some of these because I'm slowly developing some aches and pains in my neck and back as the morning progresses - not cool.
I'm very much looking forward to vegging on the couch tonight and catching up on all of the Divine Design episodes I have DVR'd. (Jason has class tonight)
Speaking of which, I'm not sure if I've mentioned yet that for his class schedule for next semester he'll have class on Wed & Thurs nights so that screws up my riding with him on Tues/Thurs mornings.
However, I think I'm going to use the schedule change as the motiviation I need to get myself to the gym every morning.
Here's what my (tenative) schedule is going to be after the first of the year:
Monday - AM run 45 minutes
Tuesday - Strength Train with light Cardio
Wednesday - AM run 45 minutes
Thursday - Strenth Train with light Cardio (there's also a yoga class in the evenings @ 6:30 that I may hit up, as well. I'll be trying it for the first time tomorrow night)
Friday - AM Spinning Class - this may be replaced with running if/when I start training for the half-marathon in February
Saturday - (after WW meeting) Long run 60+ minutes
Sunday - REST! YAY!
So my eating for yesterday didn't go too bad but not great:
AM snack - Special K Cereal Bar 2 pts
Breakfast - Special K Cereal 3 pts
Lunch - Left overs from Saturday's dinner 8 points
PM snack - Special K Snack Bar 2pts
Dinner - BBQ Turkey Pizza (1 slice) & Spinach/Feta/Craisin Salad with Rasp Vinag. 8 points
:( Dessert - Salty & Sweet Granola bar approx 5 points BOO!
Total points - 28
Stupid granola bar! Oh, and yes, I'm still trying to eat all of the stupid Special K stuff I have!
We did, however, have our volleyball game last night, so that at least earned me a few activity points - maybe 5 if I'm lucky.
By the way, we lost our volleyball match last night so we're out of the tournament. :( We were all pretty bummed. We played much better than last season and we had a decent chance of winning. Sucks that it didn't work out for us! Oh well, we'll get 'em next season!! Yay!
Oh, so I got a call from Verizon on Monday and apparently they're going to call me with information today and that our service will be availble to finish installing tomorrow. Yeah. Right. I'll believe it when I see it.
If it all works out, though, I'll be able to blog at home in the evenings (that's right bloggies! we'll finally be in the 21st century at home!! woo hoo!!) and not have to worry about getting caught at work.
I think one of my New Year's resolutions - if we get our internet working - is to stop wasting so much time on the internet at work and also stop using my work computer to take care of personal things like blogging, paying bills, etc... One of these days, its going to catch up with me if I'm not careful and I'm going to get in trouble.
Well, speaking of which, I better get crack-a-lackin!
