Happy belated Ho-Ho, bloggies! It's been while, I know...
We had a crazy-busy weekend and got lots of great gifts for Christmas. I'm taking this week off of work but, weather permitting, I have to go to a job site and review some field conditons at one of our school projects. Blech! I'm already on the verge of being bored even though I have tons of cleaning to do, so it might be good to get out of the house for a day.
I've got a long list of things to do today and can't decide where to start...
First off, I HAVE to get this house cleaned up! Also, I want to sit down and go over our 2010 spending plan and I also have a couple of errands to run in town which include dropping off a couple of library books I finished over the weekend, working out and getting groceries. (The last time I worked out was last Thursday. I'm not even going to step on the scale until I get back into my workout routine for at least a week. I know my weight is up - no point in depressing myself more... at least that's what I'm telling myself...)
I was going to go to this mom and pop appliance store that my mom always goes to and order a new stove (thanks for the muh-la Santa! haha) but I was able to call and talk to the guy. He remembered me so I didn't have to drive all the way out there. I'm so excited I'm finally getting a new stove. Now we just have to redo the kitchen! haha Unfortunately we had to tap into our Emergency Fund for the last couple hundred dollars but I should have no problem replenishing it the first couple weeks of January.
I guess I better get started pretty soon! But first... I've been thinking about my '09 accomplishments and '10 goals. I still haven't really revamped my original list so I'm just going to post what I originally wrote down.
2009 ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Mind
-Passed NCIDQ Exam to become licensed Interior Designer
Body
-Maintained weight entire year (for the most part...)
-Completed five 5k races
-5K PR 30:28
Wallet
-Discovered Dave Ramsey and his Total Money Makeover
-Saved $1000 Baby Emergency Fund (BEF)
2010 GOALS
Mind
-Start playing piano again (I played for 8 years when I was little and got back into it in college but have let my practicing slide...)
-Pass LEED Exam
-Ride my horse, Crystal, regularly (she went blind in one eye last year and I have been hesitant to ride her but now that she has adapted to it, I think she'll be fine)
-Break & train one of our unrideable horses, Bailey (this should have been done YEARS ago but none of us had the time, patience or dedication to deal with it. I think I'm going to make Sundays my "horse day".)
-Visit our grandparents more frequently. We really only see our grandparents once a year at Christmas so I think I'd like to make more of an effort to see them.
Body
-Implement Dr. Beck's strategies to get a better handle on psychological aspects of my eating/weight issues
-Get to "goal weight" of 135 and STAY THERE!
-Tone up after reaching goal weight. I don't want to just be a certain weight but I want to look athletic and healthy.
-Sub "30" 5K time
-Run & Complete half-marathon in April.
-Run half-marathon in October (tenative)
-Get bikes for Jason & myself to ride on the weekends/evenings
Wallet
-Reduce debt. % TBD
-Ask for a raise on my 5 year anniversary at work. Apply raise to debt payoff
-Follow TMMO budget - no unneccessary spending!
-Garage sale in June - profits to be applied toward debt payoff
-Sell dirtbike - apply to debt payoff
I've also thought of some long-term goals that I'd like to have accomplished by the time I'm 30, which would be by the end of 2013.
LONG TERM GOALS
Mind
-Plan and save for a vacation in the summer of 2014
-Remodel Kitchen, Living room/hallway, and basement
Body
-Maintain weight of 135 so that I can change it on my driver's license on my 30th birthday
-Run & complete a marathon
Wallet
-Debt Free with 3 month emergency fund established
Well, seeing as how this has turned into quite a long post, I'll stop for now. My short-term goals for this week include getting back on track with my eating and working out and getting my house cleaned - more than just cosmetically. I'll update with my workouts as I complete them.
Until next time...
-Lacey

Those are some great goals! You've made some progress toward your fitness goals w/ running and a PR in the 5K distance. Keep it up!
I love your "Mind" goals- visiting grandparents, riding horses, playing the piano- all very good!
I have a question about your stove purchase. If you are able to replenish your EF the few hundred dollars the 1st week of January, why not just wait until then and use that money to pay for the stove (w/ the gifted money)? Instead of taking from your EF and rebuilding (not a good mindset), just hold off for a bit then use the upcoming money to pay for what you want. You'll be surprised how much that delayed gratification plays in your decisions!
Ooooh, by the way, totally think you should get bikes! We love riding around! It's a nice way to get out of the house on a nice day!
