So, apparently my workout from yesterday morning was better than I thought.
My quads and chest are so sore!
I haven't been this sore since conditioning for volleyball in High School!
I look like a moron when I go up and down the stairs - particularly down. AND, our coffee maker at work is in the basement. Fabulous. (we have no elevator)
So, other than whining about being sore, I don't really have a whole lot to update on for today.
We went to my brother's football banquet last night. Didn't eat very much food, and I was pretty proud of myself... But then I made the mistake of perusing the dessert table. IDIOT! ~smacks forehead~ Yeah, so much for sticking to my points last night. Luckily most of the chocolate and chocolate/pb stuff was picked over. At least somebody was, sortof, looking out for me.
I play on a women's volleyball team at our local YMCA on Tuesday nights. Tonight is our first night of tournaments; its single elimination. Last season, in the spring, we sucked. Bad. But this season we're doing pretty good. I think we have a chance to make it past, at least, the first game. Of course, that depends on "which team" shows up. Keep your fingers crossed for us. And, I'm not too sure how my sore quads and chest are going to factor into all of it. (yes, more whining) This could be painful...
Side note: I just remembered to flip my calendar in my office to December. (not without severe pain in the quaddage area heh heh more whining) Can you believe its December 1st already!!!!! Holy Moley!
Oh, and when we got home from the banquet last night we finally got the mail and SURPRISE! there's a VERY unexpected medical bill in the box. We'll just put that right back in the box, send it back to them, and politely decline thank-you-very-much. Right. So not only are we going to be short this week because Jason doesn't get paid holidays and he definitely doesn't get paid for being off on Friday (stupid union) but we also have to find $125 to pay for these stupid tests I got done. Argh.
I suppose I should look on the bright side and be glad that we don't have to pay the full cost of the tests which were just over $1000. Oy! I'm thinking I'm going to have to use some of our Emergency Fund (Dave Ramsey term) to cover this bill which means we're going to have to postpone our debt snowball (another DR term) the first of the year to replenish our EF. Ugh. Jerkwads! So inconsiderate!
Don't they know that I've got a very OCD plan laid out here??? They've totally thrown a HUGE monkey wrench in the whole thing!!! (I've got our preliminary monthly budgets completed through November of next year but it already needs tweaked and its driving me nuts because I want to redo it all and make it "right"!)
Well, I guess I'll get to work. Ugh. Anybody want to come kidnap me! I'd really rather be plucking my nosehairs at the moment than be here.
Sorry for all of the whining. I'm planning on working out tomorrow morning before work so I'll have a workout update. I'll also post my points for today in tomorrow's post.
Cheerio!
