Not. Good.

Alright, so I FINALLY did my tempo run last night.

You how so very often you dread a run and you moan and groan about how much you don't want to run and then you finally get up the gumption to run and you're so glad you did because you feel so much better?! You know, the runner's high?

Yeah, well, I didn't experience that last night. In fact it was the very opposite... I felt worse after I ran.

The whole entire run sucked. I had been fighting a headache all day so while I was running I kept getting light headed. Also, I have this strange thing happen with my breathing where I can't take a full breath. You know that feeling when you feel like you have to yawn and you try and try and try and you can't get a "real" yawn out and then you finally do and its this wave of relief in your lungs? Well, I find that when I run, especially harder runs like tempo or speed, that I can't take a full breath and can never get that "wave of relief". So, I have to hop off the treadmill and take some deep breaths until I get that full breath. Its kinda scary, and I have to admit, my mind panics a little when this happens like "oh my gosh, I CAN'T BREATHE!!!!"

Does anybody else have this problem??

My brother (he's 18) was diagnosed last summer with sports induced asthma so I'm starting to wonder if I should be concerned as well? The only thing is, he can't fully expell his air and I have the opposite problem. Hmm, what to do?

Second, my knee feels like its going to explode. There is so much pressure behind my knee right now that it feels like its the size of Montana. The discomfort is spreading down the back of my calf and up my hamstring. Freaking awesome.

Lastly, I have this pain in my left hip, right where the crease is when you bend your leg. I didn't really notice it until I started doing sit-ups and captain chairs this morning at the gym. (yes, i made it to the gym today and did a core workout. Call the presses!!!) Every time I'd do a sit-up or leg raise something would "catch" in my hipular area and kinda pop. Now its just a dull pain.

Now what the crap does this mean?? Am I injured? Or am I just being a wuss?

I'm hoping it goes away because not only do I have to work tonight but I also have to run 7 miles tomorrow for my long run.

Ugh. I'm falling apart. This is NOT helping my motivation. AT. ALL.

So I did my typical core workout this morning. Same as usual:

30 back extensions
30 side extensions both sides (holding 5 lb weight)
30 sit-ups
30 captains chairs
rest

20 reps of each
rest

10 reps of each

I soooo did not want to be at the gym - AND I forgot to grab a normal bra so I had to wear my sports bra to work today. Thankfully I didn't sweat too much and also that I'm wearing a scarf today to cover up the straps. I should have just stayed in bed.

Well, that's all I've got for today, I think.

The vegetarian thing isn't going too well this week. Its just been more convenient and economical to eat meat so I have nothing to report on that.

I doubt I'll be checking in over the weekend so I hope all of you have a great weekend.

Until next time...

Hang in there girl. Everyone has down days... Even down weeks...

I started running by myself and then my husband joined me. He said my breathing was really irregular. I also felt like I couldn't breathe. He told me to really concentrate on it and it worked! Time your breaths with your running. Plus it gives you something to do instead of worrying about running :)

I'm alive! I swear!

Yes, I'm here! I swear I'm here! I've had about a kazillion things going on and haven't had the time to blog. I've k...
